Cryogenic & Arctic Applications
LTCS fittings are indispensable for the LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) industry, particularly in liquefaction plants and regasification terminals. They are also used extensively in the storage and transport of ammonia and other liquefied industrial gases. For oil and gas projects in cold regions like Canada, the North Sea, or Siberia, WPL6 is the mandatory standard for all exposed piping. Additionally, they are found in low-temperature chemical processing units and industrial refrigeration systems where standard piping would fail due to low-temperature embrittlement.
The LTCS Advantage
- Impact Resistance: Specifically tested to ensure they do not become brittle in sub-zero temperatures.
- Consistent Metallurgy: Careful control of Manganese and Silicon levels to optimize low-temperature toughness.
- Safety Compliance: Meets all international standards for pressurized cryogenic service.
- Versatility: Suitable for both low-temperature and moderate-temperature applications, making it a robust multi-use choice.
