Material & Manufacturing Process

WP316, WP316L and WP316H are austenitic stainless steel grades containing molybdenum, providing improved resistance to corrosion compared with conventional chromium-nickel stainless steels. The grades are widely selected for process piping exposed to chlorides, chemicals, elevated temperatures and demanding industrial environments. At GX Fitting, we manufacture WP316/316L/316H pipe fittings using controlled forming, heat treatment, machining and finishing processes according to applicable standards and project specifications. Depending on product size and wall thickness, our manufacturing processes can include hot forming, cold finishing and customized fabrication. Material chemistry is verified through spectrometer analysis, while dimensional inspection, mechanical testing and NDT can be performed according to customer requirements. For project applications requiring enhanced documentation and traceability, fittings can be supplied with EN 10204 3.1 material certificates and additional third-party inspection. Our manufacturing experience since 1993 enables us to handle both standard and demanding special-material fittings.

Specification Range

GX Fitting supplies WP316, WP316L and WP316H pipe fittings across a broad range of sizes and configurations for industrial and EPC projects. Our overall manufacturing capability covers DN15 to DN3800 (150"), with particular expertise in large-diameter and heavy-wall fittings. Available products include elbows, tees, concentric and eccentric reducers, caps, stub ends, crosses and customized or non-standard fittings. Wall thickness, dimensions and end configurations can be manufactured according to applicable ASME/ASTM standards, customer drawings and project specifications. For large-diameter or special requirements, our engineering team can review drawings, material grades, wall thickness, forming requirements, heat treatment and inspection specifications before production. Depending on project requirements, products can be supplied with full material traceability, EN 10204 3.1 documentation, dimensional inspection reports, chemical and mechanical test results, and specified NDT documentation. This flexibility allows GX Fitting to support both standard procurement and project-specific EPC requirements.
